Most people get the opportunity to go canoeing at some point in their lives. When better to begin learning important skills for this recreational activity than now.
All our canoeing sessions are run on flat water, whether it is an introduction for Primary students, through to advanced sessions for Seniors.
Canoeing helps develop water confidence, teamwork, balance and general coordination.
We use canadian style canoes (very stable) and all students are required to wear a type 2 or 3 pfd.
Junior Year 3-6, Senior Year 7-12.
Time to kick back and have a splash. Our pool games session in our own small pool is designed to help cool the kids off whilst also keeping them entertained with a range of games and challenges.
Raft Building is an excellent summer initiative activity.
Students are given the task of designing, building and racing their own raft against other student teams. It is a great hands on demonstration of practical problem solving skills in a real situation.
Junior Year 5 up, Senior Year 7 up.
This is an incredibly fun activity that involves several steps of problem solving along the way.
Students are given the task of navigating a water course using only a couple of planks and even fewer pieces of rope. Students need to be able to communicate and cooperate – or they get wet.

Zorbs Balls are such a unique activity that isn’t available at most camp centres. It’s nice to take a break from the adrenaline filled activities that are part of most programs at outdoor camps and do something that is just fun.
